My Visit to the 75th National Bird Show

Over the weekend, I had a fantastic time at the 75th National Bird Show Diamond Jubilee Anniversary, and I was thrilled to be joined by my club, The African Love Bird Society (ALBS). ALBS is an international organization dedicated to the keeping, breeding, and showing of Love Birds, which refers to the nine species of small African parrots in the genus "Agapornis."

Setting out from Indiana, our road trip led us through the beautiful autumn colors of Kentucky and Tennessee. The landscape transformed into a stunning canvas of red, orange, and gold hues, featuring rolling hills and valleys dressed in fall foliage. This scenic journey perfectly prepared us for the vibrant colors awaiting at the National Bird Show.

The Jacob Building provided a great space for the event. Located at 3301 East Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914, it was the perfect setting for showcasing a wide variety of birds. I was excited as I walked in, ready to explore the different bird categories and enjoy the beautiful birds on display.

The show covered everything from canaries and finches to parrots and lovebirds. Each division had its own set of unique and captivating birds, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

Being a part of ALBS added an extra layer of enjoyment to the weekend. The annual meeting of ALBS members was held in conjunction with the National Bird Show, showcased the commitment of Love Bird enthusiasts, breeders, and exhibitors.

This year's event was even more special as it marked the Diamond Jubilee Anniversary of the National Bird Show. The organizers went all out to make it a memorable celebration.

The National Bird Show not only showcased the beauty of birds but also brought together a community of passionate bird lovers. Whether you're a seasoned breeder or just curious about birds, the National Bird Show is an event worth attending.
