The birds bred here will be closed leg banded for identification should your bird ever be lost or stolen. Contrary to popular rumors, closed bands are completely safe. There is no split that can get caught on things. Our Lovebirds are banded using lightweight aluminum bands that are traceable back to us via our aviary code, a number to identify the individual, as well as the state code. The birds will come with an Aviary hatch certificate.

Sexing Your Lovebirds

Lovebirds are not sexually dimorphic, which means that you cannot visually tell if a lovebird is a male or a female.
